Taylor Cole helped Georgia’s Rome Speedway close out the regular 2023 season on Saturday night with a win for the Red Clay Dirt Late Model Series
The Cartersville, Georgia speedster started from the pole, and went on to hold off Hayden Swaney in the 50 lap feature at the ½-mile clay raceway.
Dylan Perry followed in third, with Sawyer Tinker in fourth, and Olivia Gentry in fifth.
Kyler Haygood, Matt Stewart, Andrew Moody, Spencer Cranfield, and Koulten Herbert rounded out the top 10.
In other action, Oliver Gentry beat out Tod Hernandez for the Limited Late Model feature win. Dale Thurman finished in third, with Mitchell Keaton in fourth, and Don Jenkins in fifth.
Tyler Millwood topped the 604 Crate Late Model field for the win, with Mario Gresham in second, Von Casey in third, Marty Massey in fourth, and Shane Smith in fifth.
Zach Pilcher crossed the finish line first to win the Open Wheel Modified feature. Shane Griffith followed in second, with Cass Fowler in third, Bret Gardner in fourth, and Ethan Osborne in fifth.
Logan McCvay beat out Jason Young to win the Stinger feature. Shaun Harper, Paul Heitsenrether, and Mike Stork rounded out the top five.
Blake Broome took the checkered flag first to win the Econo Bomber feature, with Chris Woodall second, Billy Dean third, Kayden Beam fourth, and Justin Rogers fifth.
Shannon Ethridge was the winner of the Pony Stock feature. Hunter Walton followed in second, with Joey Payne in third, and Steve Shutley in fourth.
While the regular season might be over for Rome Speedway, there is still one more race on the schedule for the 2023 season, as the World of Outlaws CASE Late Models visit Rome on Sunday. For more information, visit RaceRomeSpeedway.com.
