Mason Lastra topped the largest field of racers on hand for Thursday Thunder racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway to score the Semi-Pro Legends feature victory last week.

Lastra outdueled Jason Treschl to earn his second win of the season. After starting in the third position, Lastra blasted by the top two to claim the lead and successfully held off the field through multiple restarts to grab the win. Lastra will try to continue to climb in the point standings as the battle for the top spot gets tighter.

In other action, Wyatt Coffey extended his lead in the Bandits division standings with a hard-fought victory. After the field was side-by-side off green off an early restart, Coffey shot from the third position to grab the lead off turn two. He would swap the lead six times with Matthew Laprade, but hung on for his third win of the season.

Nick Woodall took home his first victory of the season in the WJP Investments Pro feature. Woodall battled Donovan Strauss and Gianni Esposito for the lead throughout the race and seized the opportunity to grab the point after a caution between Esposito and Strauss on lap 19. Strauss would crawl back into the race for fifth by the closing lap but could get no closer as Woodall drove to victory lane.

Other winners on the night included Macon’s Benjamin Jones in the Masters division, Kyle Bacon in the Associates Group Young Lions, Alison Johnson in the Adrenalin Powersports Outlaws, Briella Rudolph in Rookie Bandoleros, and Katelyn Hicks in Chargers.

Thursday Thunder action returns to Atlanta Motor Speedway’s Thunder Ring for round six on June 29. For more information, visit AtlantaMotorSpeedway.com.
