Terry Gray, A.J. Maddox Net USCS Sprints Weekend Wins

Terry Gray and A.J. Maddox both scored USCS Sprint Car Series victories in the Yellowhammer State over the weekend.

Gray was the winner on Friday night at Buckshot Speedway in Clanton, Alabama, while Maddox took the win on Saturday night at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama.

On Friday night, veteran wheelman Terry Gray was smooth and steady in an attrition filled race. The result was his 96th career USCS Series victory. Terry Witherspoon finished in second, with Danny Burke in third, Lee Moore in fourth, and Jeff Willingham in fifth.

Burke and Witherspoon won their respective heat races, with Witherspoon also capturing the speed dash.

On Saturday night, A.J. Maddox charged to the lead from the outside of the front row, and went on to take the win at East Alabama Motor Speedway.

Brandon Grubaugh, Mark Ruel, Jr., Terry Gray, and Jeff Oliver rounded out the top five.

Hayden Campbell and Maddox won their respective heat races, while Gray won in the speed dash.

The USCS Sprint Car Series returns to racing with a two-night stand in the Volunteer State. It begins on Friday, June 23 at Tennessee’s Lexington 104 Speedway. Then on Saturday, June 24, the series moves to Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, Tennessee.
