Gianni Esposito found victory lane in the WJP Investments Pro Division in Round 2 of Thursday Thunder Legends competition on Atlanta Motor Speedway’s “Thunder Ring.”

The Dacula, Georgia driver edged out Donovan Strauss for the win on the ¼-mile layout built into the frontstretch of the 1.5-mile speedway. Garrett Gumm followed in third, with Braselton, Georgia’s Graham Campbell in fourth, and Currie Pierce in fifth.

In other action, a late caution snapped a stalemate among three drivers battling for the lead in the Associates Group Young Lions feature. Bryce Sanders took advantage of Garrett Erwin and Cooper Gaul getting together at the front of the pack creating a hole for Sanders to squirt through to take the lead and the win.

With a full field of drivers in the Semi-Pro division and a handful of yellow flags early in the race, drivers scrambled to gain positions and pull away from the field. Luke Yarbrough earned the win with a move out of turn four get past Mason Lastra to capture the checkered flag.

In the Bandits feature, Wyatt Coffey took just four laps to take the lead from the drop of the green flag. Despite attempts from Lane Christensen to take the lead, Coffey held off the field to secure the win.

Michael Flater has taken control of the Adrenalin Powersports Outlaws division with his second consecutive win. Meanwhile Phillip Young earned the victory in the Masters feature, Addyson King took the win in the Rookie Bandoleros race, and Baylor O’Neill was the winner in the Chargers feature.

Drivers will have their hands full next week with back-to-back feature races on Wednesday, June 14 and Thursday, June 15. For more information, visit AtlantaMotorSpeedway.com.
