While there was a lot of racing over the past weekend, there were a few tracks that only saw Mother Nature in the grandstands, as wet weather washed out action for some venues and series.

Georgia’s Senoia Raceway as slated to host the Roscoe Smith Classic on Saturday night, but wet weather and an unfavorable forecast led track officials to postpone the event to a later date. Senoia Raceway is scheduled to return to racing on Saturday, June 3. For more information, visit SenoiaRaceway1969.com.

It was a similar situation up the road at Georgia’s Toccoa Raceway, where track officials decided the foreboding forecast for Saturday night wasn’t going to break their way. The speedway is next slated to compete on Sunday, May 28. Check ToccoaRaceway.org for details.

Down the road from Toccoa, the officials at Georgia’s Lavonia Speedway tried their best to get the scheduled Saturday night event in, but had to call it quits just after 8 pm. The raceway returns to action on Saturday, May 27. Visit LavoniaSpeedway.net for updates.

The USCS Sprint Car Series was planning to compete at Southern Raceway in Milton, Florida on Friday and Saturday. But those plans were foiled by unstable weather conditions, leading series officials to postpone the visit to a later date. The series next travels to Tennessee’s Lexington 104 Speedway on Friday, May 26 before moving to Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas on Saturday, May 27.
