Anderson, Senoia, Lavonia Set For Weekend Action

Race fans have a variety of tracks and series to choose from this weekend, as action is on tap from everything from the local dirt tracks to high speed, high banked racing for open wheel cars.

Here’s a look at some of the action on tap for race fans over the next few days:

Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, South Carolina will make their second attempt at getting the 2023 racing season underway on Friday night with the Street Stock Showdown on the 3/8-mile asphalt raceway. For more information, visit AndersonMotorSpeedway.com.

Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia hosts its points paying opener on Saturday night. For more info, visit SenoiaRaceway1969.com.

Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, Georgia will hold the rescheduled Big Jack Hill Memorial at the 3/8-mile clay raceway on Saturday. For more info, visit LavoniaSpeedway.net.

-The Schaffer’s Spring Nationals Series doubles up in Alabama this weekend, starting on Friday night at Buckshot Speedway in Clanton, Alabama. The tour then moves to East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama on Saturday night. More information is available at SouthernNationalsSeries.com.

-The USCS Sprint Car Series is back in action for a two-night stand in the Palmetto State over the weekend. The series first stops at Travelers Rest Speedway in Travelers Rest, South Carolina on Friday before moving north to Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina on Saturday. -NASCAR travels to the Old Dominion and to the Lone Star State this weekend. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will be at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas Saturday. Meanwhile, the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the NASCAR Cup Series will both compete at Richmond Raceway in Richmond Virginia. The NXS will race on Saturday, with the NCS on the track on Sunday.
