Jody Sparks Scores Sharp Mini Late Model Win At Toccoa

Jody Sparks bested a field of 19 competitors to carry home the Sharp Mini Late Model Series victory at Georgia’s historic Toccoa Raceway on Saturday night

Sparks, who hails from Brooklet, Georgia, beat out Dustin Snider for the in the event for the 5/8-scale, 600CC motorcycle engine powered racers on the 3/8-mile clay raceway.

Brad Amerson followed in third, with Chase Teague in fourth, and Joey Schoen in fifth.

Mike Wolf, Jr., Ryan Brown, Bryan Funk, Mitchell McNure, and Preston Bechan rounded out the top 10.

In other action, Blake Craft carried home the winner’s hardware in the Limited Late Model feature as a part of the King of the Highbanks competition opener for local divisions.

Daniel Wilson finished second, with Brett Shook third, Nick Deitz fourth, and David Conley fifth.

Crandall Turner scored the 602 Sportsman feature victory, with Brady Cornett in second, John Howard in third, and Dillon Daves in fourth.

Brian Nickerson was the winner in the Open Wheel Modified feature. Chris Nickerson followed in second, followed by Jimmy Motes in third, Chuck Southard in fourth, and Clayton Turner in fifth.

Chad Puckett edged out Billy Buffington for the Modified Street feature win, with Robbie Campbell, Chris Thomas, and Sterling Helm rounding out the top five.

Terry Calhoun added another piece of hardware to his trophy case with the Pro Truck feature win over Benji Stewart. Bill Pulliam finished in third, with Ryan Key in fourth, and Jason Calhoun in fifth.

Douglas Stewart was first across the finish line to take the Stock 8 feature victory over Crandall Turner, with Brady Hunt third, Cameron Collett fourth, and Terry Calhoun fifth.

Kalan Kettle was first under the checkered flag to record the Stock 4 feature win. Brady Boshears finished in second, with Will Kettle in third, Bobby Boshears in fourth, and Jaylan Standridge in fifth.

Frankie Barrett topped the 602 Charger field to take the feature win over Kalan Kettle in second, Hunter Atkinson in third, Kyle McAlister in fourth, and Shane Chastain in fifth.

In Front Wheel Drive competition, it was Eddie Segars scoring the win, followed by Wayne Chapman in second, Tim Ivester in third, Jake McBride in fourth, and Cameron Booth in fifth.
