Corey Heim scored a dominant home state victory on Saturday night in Southern Super Series competition at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Georgia.

The Marietta, Georgia speedster led all 125-laps en route to the win in the Georgia Summer Nationals, as the event went caution free at the 3/8-mile asphalt raceway.

It’s the second Peach State win of the season for Heim, who posted a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory earlier this year at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Hunter Robbins, driving for Georgia Racing Hall of Fame member Ronnie Sanders, finished in second, with Senoia, Georgia’s Bubba Pollard following in third.

Michael Atwell came home in fourth, with Monroe, Georgia native Jake Garcia in fifth.

Matt Craig, Timothy Watson, Giovanni Ruggiero, Michael Hinde, and Josh Hicks rounded out the top 10.

The Southern Super Series returns to action on Saturday, September 24 at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida. Visit SouthernSuperSeries.com for more information.
