Dale Howard, Chase Briscoe Take USCS Wins At TST

Dale Howard and NASCAR Cup Series driver Chase Briscoe both found victory lane in USCS Sprint Car Series competition over the weekend at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama.

Howard was the winner on Friday night, while Briscoe took the victory on Saturday night at the 1/3-mile clay oval.

On Friday, Dale Howard raced form the pole to the victory in the opening night of action. Defending race winner Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. finished in second, with Briscoe, in his series debut, following in third. Terry Gray came home in fourth, with Chase Howard in fifth.

Dale Howard, Chase Howard and Jeff Willingham won their respective heat races, with Dale Howard winning the speed dash.

On Saturday, Chase Briscoe scored his first career series victory in his second series start.

After starting on the pole, Briscoe held off early challenges from Chase Howard and Terry Gray.

Briscoe went on to win by a 10 car length margin over Gray. Howard followed in third, with Hayden Martin in fourth and Eric Riggins, Jr. in fifth.

Riggins, Jr., Gray, and Dale Howard won their respective heat races, with Briscoe winning the speed dash.

The USCS Sprint Car Series returns to action on Friday and Saturday, April 29 and 30 at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee. Check USCSRacing.com for more information.
