Majeski Makes History With Rattler Win At South Alabama

Ty Majeski wrote a new page of asphalt Super Late Model racing history on Sunday at South Alabama Speedway.

Majeski became the all-time winner of the famed Rattler 250 at the 4/10 mile asphalt oval by scoring his fourth career victory in the 45th running at the Opp, Alabama raceway, which served as the season opener for the Southern Super Series.

The win breaks a tie between Majeski and Georgia Racing Hall of Fame inductee Ronnie Sanders at three wins each in the Rattler.

The Seymour, Wisconsin driver dominated the event, leading all but the first 15. But the win wasn’t an easy one, as Majeski had to hold off challenges from Stephen Nasse during a trio of cautions over the final 10 laps.

In the end, it was Majeski scoring the historic win, with Nasse having to settle for second.

Daniel Dye came home in third, with Derek Griffith in fourth and Marietta, Georgia’s Kyle Plott in fifth.

Kyle McCallum, Monroe, Georgia’s Jake Garcia, Senoia, Georgia’s Bubba Pollard, Carson Hocevar and Jett Noland rounded out the top 10.
