Payton Freeman Takes Hartwell Limited Late Model Win

Payton Freeman added to his overall win total for the season on Saturday night at Georgia’s Hartwell Speedway.

The Commerce, Georgia speedster drove to the victory in the Limited Late Model feature at the 3/8-mile clay raceway, beating out Adam Smith for the win.

Danny Sanders came home in third, with Mason Tucker in fourth and Adam Partain in fifth.

In other action, David Smith topped the Hobby 602 field to score the victory, with Paris Simmons in second, Hoyt Partain in third, Shane Yarbrough in fourth and Mason Tucker in fifth.

Michael Segars was the winner in the Modified Street feature. Tye Nalley followed in second, with Michael McTier in third, Jennifer Everett in fourth and Johnny Pilgrim in fifth.

Ricky Chamberlain beat out Jack Hill for the Stock V8 feature victory. Seth Brown, Justin Sorrow and Mason Johnson rounded out the top five.

Jeffrey Lord was first under the checkered flag in the Stock 4 feature to take the win, with Jeremy Hicks in second, Kyle Braswell in third, Dustin Bales in fourth and Pete Whitley in fifth.

Logan Gunter made another trip to victory lane on the season with the Young Guns feature win. Thomas Shaw finished second, followed by Cohen Fortson in third, Brandon Jones in fourth and Carson Rhodes in fifth.

Randy Shaw took top honors in the Front Wheel Drive feature, with Timothy Shaw second, Wayne Glenn third, Randall Feno fourth and C.J. McCurley fifth.

Josh Thurmond was the winner in the Open Wheel Modified feature.
