Cody Overton took home top honors with fall temperatures in the air over Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia in Saturday night’s Crate Late Model Championship.

Jake Traylor took the initial lead, with Overton hot on his heels. With a caution a third of the way into the race, Traylor, Overton and Cody Haskins went three wide on the restart. That triggered spins by several competitors, with Traylor getting the worst of the situation, sending him to the pits.

That gave Overton, who hails from Evans, Georgia, some breathing room, as he went on to take the win. Michael Page raced his way from mid-pack to take second, with Cody Haskins in third, Logan Palmer in fourth and Lucas Ruark in fifth.

Jody Knowles, Tanner Collins, T.J. Brittain, Shane Smith and Ty Ellis rounded out the top ten.

In other action, Oliver Gentry bolted to the lead in the Steelhead Late Model feature to take his fifth win of the season. Jacque Daniels followed in second trailed by Scott Hall in third, Wesley Scott in fourth and Jimmy Price in fifth.

The Sportsman feature saw Taylor Cole lead every lap for the win, but he had to hold off a very strong Shun Thomas in second. Nick May finished in third with Chris Hough fourth and Jesse Goss fifth.

Chris Hill made the trip from Wedowee, Alabama for the first time to take the win in the Open Wheel Modified feature. Super Late Model driver Gary McPherson followed in second, while Bo Jordan took third ahead of Donald Murdock. Cory Elliott crossed the line in fifth.

Joe Trantham became the first repeat winner in the Economy Bomber division, as he held off Eric Hamby in second. Tim Ford raced his way up to third ahead of Allen Barber and Randy Smith.

After taking a couple of races off, Roger Adkins took the Street Stinger Feature win, with Kenny Clark, Steven Shattles, Jonathan Chambers and Spencer Hughes rounding out the top five.
