Madden, Hedgecock Take Tennessee SNS Victories

Chris Madden and Cory Hedgecock scored early week victories in Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series in the Volunteer State.

Madden drove to the win on Monday night at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee, while Hedgecock was the winner on Tuesday night at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee.

On Monday night, Madden grabbed the lead from Vic Hill on lap seven, and held the point for the remainder of the race to score the win at Volunteer Speedway.

It is the second win of the series for the Gray Court, South Carolina racer, who pocketed $3,500 for his 26th career series win.

One caution flag slowed the field on lap 21 as Pearson Lee Williams slowed with a right-rear flat tire.

Brandon Overton finished in second, with Cory Hedgecock in third, Ross Bailes in fourth and Logan Roberson in fifth.

On Tuesday night, Cory Hedgecock took the point on lap eight, and marched to the victory at I-75 Raceway.

It was worth $3,500 for the Loudon, Tennessee driver.

Chris Madden finished in second, followed by Brandon Overton in third, Donald McIntosh in fourth and Ryan King in fifth.
