Kyle Amerson raced to his first career USCS Sprint Car Series win on Saturday night in the Randy Helton Memorial at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia.

Amerson swept the night by winning the Speed Dash along with his heat race before parking his car in victory lane with the feature victory.

The Montgomery, Alabama racer took home a $2,700 payday for his efforts.

Amerson was not only fast but also had good fortune on his side. He inherited the lead in the feature at mid-race after early leader Johnny Bridges and second place Danny Oliver both drivers were called for cone violation on a restart and were moved back two positions.

Amerson assumed the point on the ensuring restart and survived two additional cautions en route to the victory.

Conner Leoffler finished in second, with Morgan Turpen in third, Bridges in fourth and Terry Gray in fifth.

Jeff Oliver from Pendergrass, Georgia finished in sixth, with Steve Surniak, Hayden Martin, Brandon McLain and Mallie Shuster rounding out the top 10.

Local division winners on the night included Oliver Gentry in Steelhead Late Models, Logan Palmer in Crate Late Models, Sawyer Tinker in 602 Sportsman, Michael Page in 602 Open Wheel Modifieds, Travis Smith in Economy Bomber and Jason Young in Street Stingers.
