Chas Ledford Breaks, Wins In Super Pro At Commerce

Hometown racer Chas Ledford had both good and bad luck en route to the Super Pro victory in Summit ET Drag Racing Series competition at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia.

Ledford, a Commerce native, got the win when his opponent, Paige Brown, had a red light start off the line. But Ledford’s car broke just a few feet after he launched off the line.

Ledford dialed in a 4.96 no ET, no MPH and a 0.011 reaction. Brown dialed in on a 6.76 and ran a 6.793 ET at 101.58 MPH, but a foul start -0.020 reaction.

Other winners on the day included Robby Nelson in Pro, Dickey Forrester in Sportsman, Jayton Duggar in JR Street, Tim Sutton in Super Pro Bike, Corey Reed in 5-9 JR Dragster, Shannon Blanton in 10-12 JR Dragster, and Kimberly Vancica in 13-17 JR Dragster.
