Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia has announced a cancellation due to COVID-19 concerns.

Track officials at the 3/8-mile clay raceway announced via Facebook just after noon on Friday that Saturday’s season opener would be cancelled, citing “the ever-evolving COVID-19 pandemic and numerous local cancellations.”

“The welfare and safety of our drivers, fans and staff is most important during this time of uncertainty,” the post read. “Dixie Speedway has a full schedule planned for the 2020 race season and at this time will proceed wit the remaining events as planned.”
