Ramsey Closes Season With Super Pro Win At Commerce

Hunter Ramsey waited until the very end to score his first win of the season.

The Lavonia, Georgia driver outdueled Brian Smith in Saturday’s Super Pro finale to score the victory in the Summit ET Drag Racing Series season finale at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia.

The second generation driver took home his first career Wally trophy after working his way through the Jr. Drasgter ranks.

In the final, Ramsey dialed in a 6.71 and ran a 6.752 ET at 96.85 MPH and a 0.045 reaction time to score the victory. Smith dialed in a 5.04 and ran a 5.288 ET at 130.78 MPH and a 0.032 reaction.

Other winners on the day included Chad Brewer in Pro, Russell Haskins in Sportsman, Jayton Duggan in Jr. Street, Tim Sutton in Super Pro Bike, Kristen Goddard in 5-9 Jr. Dragster, Malachi Edwards in 10-12 Jr. Dragster, and Austin Bowden in 13-17 Jr. Dragster.
