Ricky Smith Scores Turkey Rumble 602 Win At Toccoa

Ricky Smith powered to the lead of Sunday’s 602 Sportsman/Hobby portion of the Turkey Rumble 150 at Georgia’s Toccoa Raceway, and went on to score the victory in the track’s season finale.

The Hiawassee, Georgia competitor started on the pole alongside Toccoa, Georgia’s Brandon Stroud for the feature, and went on to top the 11 car field for the win at the historic 5/16 mile clay speedway.

Smith also pocketed a cool $1,300 payday for his efforts.

Crandall Turner followed Smith across the finish line to record a second place finish. Chris Wilbanks finished third, with Cody Smith in fourth and Matthew Knight in fifth.

In other action, David McCoy held off Joseph Brown to take the Limited Late Model feature victory. Drew Collins finished in third, with Clayton Turner in fourth and Shun Thomas in fifth.

Cody Pritchett took the win in the 604 FASTRAK Crate Late Model feature. Adam Smith finished in second, with Jordan Horton in third, Drew Benfield in fourth and Nicholas Deitz in fifth.

Rusty Jordan topped the Modified Street field to score the feature victory. Chris Nickerson finished second, with Billy Buffington third, Daniel Doster fourth and C.S. Roberts fifth.

Matthew Furgerson took the win in the Toccoa Pro Trucks feature, with Bill Pulliam in second, Coon Ayers in third, and Cameron Collett in fourth.

Kevin Kelly drove to the victory in the Stock 4 feature. Randy Powell, Harley Holden, Chris Kettle and Elliott Brayboy rounded out the top five.

Stephen House scored the win in the Stock V8 feature, with Ricky Jones in second, followed by Ray Foskey in third, Trey Pilgrim in fourth and Keith Baker in fifth.

Robert Hunt edged out Tony Stephens for the Front Wheel Drive feature victory, with Daniel Reynolds finishing third, B.J. Gillespie fourth and Travis Jameson in fifth.
