North Carolina’s historic Hickory Motor Speedway played host to a pair of Late Model Stock features on Saturday night, with Austin McDaniel and Kres VanDyke splitting the two 40-lap events.

In the first Bojangles Late Model feature, Cole Glasson and Ryan Millington brought the field to green, with Glasson leading the first several laps. Meanwhile, McDaniel was moving his way into contention. First he made the pass on Millington for second, then set his sights on the leader.

After challenging for several laps, McDaniel made the move to take the lead, and went on to score the victory. Millington would move to second, with Glasson in third, Colby Howard in fourth and Charlie Watson in fifth.

In the second feature, a 10 car invert after the finish of the first feature would put Macy Causey and Annabeth Barnes-Crum on the front row. Barnes-Crum took the early lead, with Causey in pursuit. They would pace the field until lap 14, when Matt Thomas moved to the lead. Thomas had a commanding lead until the caution flew on lap 29.

On the restart, Kres Vandyke moved up to challenge for the lead, with VanDyke moving to the point. From there, VanDyke went on to score his first career Hickory victory, with McDaniel coming home in second. Thomas finished in third, followed by Barnes-Crum in fourth and Watson in fifth.

In other action, Darren Dickinson scored the win in the Renegade feature from the pole, with David Hasson in second, Kyle DiVanna in third, Danny Crump, Jr. in fourth and Justin Austin in fifth.

Monty Cox moved out to the early lead in the Paramount Auto Group Limited Late Model feature, and went on to take the victory. Mitch Walker finished in second, with Pat Rachels in third, Mack Little in fourth and Jeremy Pelfrey in fifth.

Mark Whitten took the victory in the Cosmo Motor Street Stock feature. Marshall Sutton, Cody DeMarmels, Kevin Eby and Roy Smith rounded out the top five.

In the One Design Super Trucks feature, Sheflon Clay outdistanced Allen Huffman for the win, with Joey Shuryan finishing in third, Tyler Dayton in fourth and Chase Campbell in fifth.
