A trio of drivers took home Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victories over the weekend.

Darrell Lanigan, Josh Richards, and Rick Eckert each scored wins between Thursday and Sunday in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Lanigan opened up the weekend with a last-lap pass on his teammate, Don O’Neal, to win Thursday night’s Buckeye Spring 50 at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio.

O’Neal, who led the first 49-laps, fell just short as Lanigan made the winning pass off turn-two on the final lap.

Scott Bloomquist finished third, with Devin Moran in fourth and Tim McCreadie in fifth.

“When you race a teammate, you have to race him differently,” Lanigan said. “Donnie (O’Neal) had a great car. We have had a good car the last few weeks and had some bad luck. It feels good to win here tonight and close to home.”

Jackie Boggs, Earl Pearson Jr., Steve Casebolt, Brandon Sheppard and Gregg Satterlee rounded out the top ten.

On Friday night, Josh Richards was victorious in the first ever series appearance at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio.

Richards took the lead from Bloomquist on lap four and withstood the challenges of both Brandon Sheppard and Gregg Satterlee to take the win in the Steel Valley 50.

“I can’t thank the track staff enough for trying to get the track raceable for the feature,” Richards said. “It was tough on the drivers and especially the cars. I know they had put new dirt on the track, but with the rain they had the last couple of days, that didn’t help.

“We raced as hard as we could to put on a show for these fans. It feels good to come out on top.”

Bloomquist led the first three laps of the race before yielding the lead to Richards. Sheppard then moved into second and started to challenge Richards for the lead. Satterlee picked up steam and sprinted around Sheppard for second on lap 17.

Satterlee then tracked down Richards and the two ran side-by-side for a while until Richards pulled away from him.

Sheppard managed to regain the second spot on lap 38 from Satterlee. Sheppard then spent the final 12 laps pursuing Richards. But Richards held his line and held a steady lead until the finish.

Sheppard finished in second, with Satterlee third, Moran fourth and Jimmy Owens in fifth.

Alex Ferree, Boom Briggs, Colton Flinner, Dylan Yoder and Chub Frank rounded out the top ten.

After Saturday night’s event at Maryland’s Hagerstown Speedway was canceled due to rain, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series moved on to Pennsylvania’s Port Royal Speedway on Sunday.

Rick Eckert took the lead on lap 39 from Satterlee and went on to win his third career series race in the LOLMDS’ first ever visit to Port Royal.

Satterlee led the first 38 laps of the race and finished in second, with Mason Zeigler third, Richards in fourth and McCreadie in fifth.

“It was an awesome race track tonight,” said Eckert. “You could run low, middle, or high. This facility has turned out to be one of the best in the nation. It’s one of the best kept secrets out there. I couldn’t get going early-on and I dropped back a few spots, but I finally found a line that worked well and we were able to get back to the front.”

O’Neal, Dennis Erb, Jr., Owens, Pearson, Jr. and Lanigan rounded out the top ten.
