Polewarczyk Nails Down Third PASS North Victory At Star

Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. of Hudson, New Hampshire earned his third PASS North Super Late Model Series victory of the season Friday night in the twice-postponed Make A Wish 150 at Star Speedway in Epping, New Hampshire.

Polewarczyk started the race in 13th position and methodically working his way through the field to take the lead away from Joey Doiron. Doiron had led most of the 150-lap race after taking the lead away from early leader Todd Stone at the event’s quarter point.

After a late-race restart erased a healthy lead held by Doiron, Polewarczyk took command. In the closing laps Travis Benjamin made a late charge that came up just about a car-length short. Doiron crossed the line in third position.

Ben Rowe finished in fourth, with Tracy Gordon in fifth.

D.J. Shaw, Mike Rowe, Glen Luce, Dave Farrington, Jr. and Curtis Gerry rounded out the top ten.

Up next for the PASS North Super Late Models is Championship Day, set for Saturday afternoon, October 15, at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine.
