Benjamin Scores PASS North SLM Win At Beech Ridge

Travis Benjamin was smiling on the podium following his triumph in the PASS North Super Late Model Series race at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine Saturday.

Benjamin could not even force a smile the last time he was a top-three finisher after finishing behind Wayne Helliwell after leading the most laps in last month’s Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway.

On Saturday, it was Benjamin who prevailed, with only D.J. Shaw able to keep the eventual winner honest. Shaw’s runner-up finish certainly did no damage to his perch atop the PASS North championship standings.

Curtis Gerry earned an impressive third-place finish against the touring series invaders. Jeff Taylor was a frontrunner all day long and was in fourth position when the checkered flag flew. Ben Rowe finished in fifth.

Cassius Clark, Johnny Clark, Scott Robbins, Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. and Reid Lanpher rounded out the top ten.
