Jason Hiett Takes Home Senoia Super Late Model Victory

Jason Hiett made the drive to Georgia when his hometrack Talladega Short Track was forced to cancel due to weather and made the trip worthwhile by posting the Super Late Model feature victory at Senoia Raceway Saturday night.

Hiett passed Joe Armistead, Jr. on lap 18, and before pulling away to his first career win at the Senoia, Georgia speedway.

Joey Armistead finished in third, witih Austin Horton in fourth and Zach Leonhardi in fifth.

Clint Smith, Mason Massey, David Doherty, Doug Stevens and Maddie Crane rounded out the top ten.

In other action, Bobby Arnold jumped out to the early lead in the B-Cadet feature, and held off a hard early charge by Jody Knowles before moving on to take the victory. Parrish Duncan finished in second, with Knowles in third, Billy Stevenson in fourth and Jamie Maurice in fifth

Clint Smith slid in front of Limited Late Model fast qualifier Austin Horton in turn two on the opening lap feature, and then never looked back posting his eleventh win of the season. Horton held on to finish in second, with Zach Pilcher in third, Jason Williams in fourth and Glenn Morris in fifth.

Craig Scott went flag-to-flag in winning the Crate Late Model feature. Blant Duke finished in second, with Bobby Mills, Josh Adkins and Marty Lunsford rounding out the top five.

J.J. Garrett also led every lap for the Mini Stocks en route to the victory, his sixth of the season. Brannon Knight finished in second, with Parris Simmons in third, Grant Roberts in fourth and Marc Leath in fifth.

Three lead changes highlighted the Hobby Stock main event as Lee McElwaney held the early lead. James Swanger worked past him on lap three before Joe Hillman roared past on the high side three laps later. Hillman would cruise to his second straight victory, with Curtis Turner in second, Swanger in third, Chris Steele in fourth and Randy Renfroe in fifth.

Tim Harmon outdueled Dorough Bright before securing his fourth Bomber win of the season. Randy Cornwell came home in third, with Junior Hardy in fourth and Wilson Boozer in fifth.
