LaMance Nabs Another FASTRAK PLM Victory At Toccoa

Steve “Hot Rod” LaMance has had a banner year, scoring a host of Pro Late Model wins on the dirt tracks of Northeast Georgia.

Saturday night was no different, as the Six Mile, SC speedster edged out Adam Smith for the FASTRAK Pro Late Model feature victory at the historic Toccoa Raceway in Toccoa, GA.

Smith held on to finish in second, with Colby Cannon in third, Derrick Harvey in fourth and Ricky Smith in fifth.

Ty Anglin, Drew Benfield, David McCoy, Dallas Manus and Jimmy Feltman rounded out the top ten.

Another driver who has been dominant on the Peach State dirt this season is David McCoy, who added yet another trophy to his shelf with a win in Toccoa’s Limited Late Model feature. Gus Simpson ran second, with David Conley third, Ronald Woods fourth and JR Headen in fifth.

In other action, James Nash scored the victory in the Hobby 602 feature, with Brandon Stroud finishing second, followed by Mart Patterson third, John Howard fourth and Jake Anderson fifth.

Mark Wilbanks topped the Modified Street field to pick up the feature win. Otis Murray came home in second, with Robbie Campbell in third, Justin Sims in fourth and Hayden Collett in fifth.

Kevin Kelly was first under the checkered flag for the Stock 4 victory, with Harley Holden, Brandon Elliott, Ryan Boles and Randy Boshears rounding out the top five.

In the Rookie 4 Cylinder feature, Douglas Stewart took the win, with Matthew Furgerson in second, Scottie Ivester in third and Daniel Woods in fourth.

Keith Teasley scored the victory in the Stock V8 feature, with Terry Thurston coming home in second, followed by Chayse York in third, James Campbell in fourth and Ray Foskey in fifth.

Daniel Reynolds took the Front Wheel Drive feature win, with Jackie Holden in second, Robbie Cook in third and Dean Hopper in fourth.

Toccoa Raceway is back in action on Saturday, Aug. 22, featuring the NVRA Vintage Racing Series in action at the 5/16 clay speedway. Also slated to race are the FASTRAK Late Models, Limited Late Models, Hobby 602, Modified Street, Monster Minis, Rookie 4 Cylinders, Stock V8 and Front Wheel Drives.
