Derek Hagar completed his second weekend sweep of the 2015 USCS Sprint Car Series season on Saturday night at Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, MS.

The Marion, AR native powered to a 2.123 second victory over longtime rival Tim Crawley in the 30-lap Summer Speed Xplosion.

Hagar held off Crawley over the closing laps of the main event to notch his second win of the weekend, his sixth USCS victory of the season and the 35th series win of his career.

Crawley could not get close enough to Hagar in the closing laps to mount a charge for the win and had to settle for second.

Marshall Skinner completed the podium finishers in third, with Michael Miller in fourth with pole sitter Andy McElhannon in fifth.

Terry Gray, Morgan Turpen, Shane Morgan, Nick Snyder and A.G. Rains rounded out the top ten.

Skinner kicked off the evening’s racing action by winning the Hoosier Tire Speed Dash, and Miller scored the win in the first heat. Skinner followed up his dash win by rolling to the victory in the second heat, while McElhannon took the victory in the third heat.

Skinner was the provisional pole starter after scoring the most passing points in heat race action, but after first heat winner Michael Miller rolled a four on the iversion, McElhannon garnered the K&N Filters Pole Award.

The USCS Sprint Car Series continues their 2015 schedule on Friday night, August 21 with the first night of the two-night Senoia Summer Nationals VI at Georgia’s Senoia Raceway.
