Jordan Holds Off Field For Hartwell SECA Late Model Win

Grant Jordan picked a good weekend to win at Hartwell Speedway. Jordan held off long-time asphalt veteran Russell Fleeman to score the SECA Late Model All Start Challenge at the 3/8 mile dirt Hartwell, GA speedway.

The win meant more money for Jordan, and also puts him into the early points lead in the division.

Jordan and Fleeman would start the feature on the front row. On the drop of the green, the duo raced side-by-side, with Jordan edging out Fleeman for the lead.

Fleeman would stay close to Jordan, managing to pull alongside on a few occasions. Jordan would maintain his line off Fleeman’s advances for the victory. Payton Freeman finished in third, with Brandon Haley in fourth and Ahnna Parkhurst in fifth.

Danny Sanders, Jeff Robinson, Cody Pritchett, Elijah Hotlzclaw and Brad Morehead rounded out the top ten finishers.

In other action, Jimmy Johnson raced to his third Limited Late Model victory of the season, holding off Brandon Haley for the win. Bubba Russell finished in third, with Frankie Coates in fourth and Chris Woods in fifth.

Rod Roberts picked up the Hobby Stock feature win, with Mitchell Godfrey in second, Shane Yarborough in third and Gerald Stanley in fourth.

Jennifer Everett scored the win in the Modified Street feature. Mark Parham came home in second, with Chris Jones in third, Aaron McIntosh in fourth and John Brantley in fifth.

In the Stock V8 feature, Rocky Jones crossed the finish line first for the win, with George Fortson, Matthew Roberts, Dennis Brown and Davin Murphy in fifth.

Shane Strickland topped the Stock Four field to score the feature victory. Jeremy Hicks finished second, with Holten Bradshaw third, Dustin Bales fourth and Curtis Cape fifth.

Trey Chapman took the Up Front feature win, with Justin Sorrow second and Joel Powell, Sr. in third.
