Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville in Nashville, TN kicked off their 58th season of racing Saturday night, as Willie Allen out dueled two time Daytona 500 winner Sterling Marlin to score the win in the Big Machine Records Pro Late Model Challenge Series.

Marlin set the early pace as the field included three NASCAR stars who return to their home track after stellar careers, including Allen and Jeff Green. Dillon Oliver made early noise, pacing the field for seven laps. Allen eased past Marlin with 20 laps remaining and led the rest of the night for his 18th career win at Nashville, surpassing Charley Binkley for the 16th spot on the all-time win list. Cole Williams finished in third, with Jeff Cannon in fourth and Michael Bolden in fifth.

Austin Brawley, Oliver, Jonathan Brown, Hunter Spivey and Daniel Bolden rounded out the top ten.

In other action, the D & D Events Limited Late Model feature was fast and furious from the start. Allen Carter set a blazing pace, but at lap 21, Bobby Terry took the lead with Carter and Chaz Chaffin making contact on the front stretch. The aftermath of the wreck made the night short for both drivers. Terry cruised for the remaining laps and took home the win for the night. Paul Nogradi, Jr. finished in second, with Jeff Belt in third, Wendell Mobley in fourth and Zach Johnson in fifth.

The All Out Automotive & Transmission Sportsman feature estarted the night with defending division champion Thomas Pannell setting fast time. The event saw four different leaders throughout with Bobby Joe Rippey, Travis Ryman, Pannell, who led despite a flat tire for several laps, and Billy Schaffer, who led the group to the checkered flag to score the win. Rippey, Tommy Climer, Adam Adcock and Troy Hall rounded out the top five.

Tire Recappers Super Street feature saw defending division champ Jim Jordan score the win. Jeremy Newman ran second, with Sam McCord in third, Carl Porter in fourth and Tink Jackson in fifth.

Nineteen cars made the call for Showtime Moving & Delivery Pure Stock, with Donald Porter taking the win, holding off Michael Hunt in second, Jerry Hendrixson in third, Nick Frederick in fourth and Michael Toth in fifth.

The USA Motor & Machine Pro Mod saw Ryan Arms dominating the event after taking the lead at the green, leading wire-to-wire for the win. Clay Gilbert, Matt Spurlock, Buddy Williams and Jason Baker rounded out the top five.

Twenty-one starters rolled off for the Pest Doctor Front Runner feature. Aaron Ashcraft led the field to the green and would pace the first two laps of the race. Hardy Krantz took command on lap three and never looked back leading Ashcraft and Travis Owens to the line for the win. Paul Cummings finished fourth, with Jason Taylor in fifth.

Jeff Green won the pole, led the most laps and scored the win in the Vietti Chili Legends feature. Kevin Rollins ran second, followed by Dylan Fetcho in third, Wayne Grubb in fourth and Randall Young in fifth.

Saturday night will be a big one for Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville, as both the ARCA Racing Series and the Southern Super Series will do battle on the famed 5/8 mile speedway.
