Travis Varnadore was in the right place at the right time to score the win in the Late Model season opener at East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, FL Saturday night.

Varnadore inherited the top spot after leader Phillip Cobb hit the wall on lap 21. Varnadore would go on to pick up the victory. Bryan Bernhardt finished in second, with Shan Smith in third, Austin Sanders in fourth and John Koller in fifth.

In other action, Billy Holmes picked up his very first division win in the Limited Late Model feature. Forrest Gough was second, with Paul Gibbs in third, Waylon Haynes in fourth and Jessica Robbins in fifth.

Jeremy Simpson picked up his first win of the early season in the V8 Warriors feature. Raymond Vann, David Riner, Roy Woodhouse and Jason Burnside rounded out the top five.

Tim Gay passed Ronnie Heard on lap 14 and drove away to win the Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Street Stocks feature. Heard came home in second, with William Burnside in third, Matthew Grissom in fourth and Thomas Burnside in fifth.

Jeff Lacey took the checkered flag first to win the Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bomber feature. Stephen Morris finished second, with Devon Smith third, Jacob Vann in fourth and Jason Huebner in fifth.
