Adam Smith Grabs SECA Late Model Victory At Hartwell

Well, that was quick.

It only took Adam Smith two weeks to score his first SECA Late Model victory at Hartwell Speedway in Hartwell, GA.

He had opened the season the week prior with a third place finish in the division.

Smith powered to the lead in Sunday’s feature event, a race that had been pushed back by rains Saturday night, and held off Larry Timms to make his first trip to victory lane in the division at the 3/8 mile clay track.

Danny Sanders finished in third, with Kale Green in fourth and Greg Pilgrim in fifth.

Russell Fleeman, Payton Freeman, Travis Steele, Steven Bowie and Adam Partain rounded out the top ten.

In other action, Jeff Lamp outdistanced Keith Freeman to pick up the win in the Limited Late Model feature. Gib Gibbons finished in third, with Drew Collins fourth and Billy Lambert in fifth.

Chris McKeehan topped the field to score the Hobby feature win. Scott Kennedy ran second, followed by Andy Barton in third, Tyrone Anglin in fourth and Brad Russell in fifth.

In the Modified Street feature, it was David Archer outdistancing Chris Cape for the victory. Thomas Segars was third, with Kole Hardy fourth and Clifton Snow fifth.

J.J. Garrett won in the Stock Four Cylinder feature. Mason Tucker, Joey Graham, Terry Calhoun and Holton Bradshaw rounded out the top five.

Jackie Holden scored the Up Front feature victory. Daniel Reynolds was second, with Josh Wells third, John Whisnot fourth and Wayne Chapman in fifth.

Bryan Rice won in Stock V8 action, with Andrew Barton finishing in second.
