NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver David Ragan, from Unadilla, GA, turned in the third fastest laps, while defending NASCAR XFINITY Series champion Chase Elliott, of Dawsonville, GA, was fourth fastest.

Second generation racer John Hunter Nemechek was fifth fastest, put will have the best seat for the start of the 200 lap feature. CRA officials announced after qualifying that the top five qualifiers will be inverted for the start of the feature, putting Nemechek on the pole, followed by Elliott, Ragan, Ellis and Pollard.

Jordan Pruitt, Kyle Grissom, Paul Shafer, Jr., Kyle Plott and Harrison Burton rounded out the top 10.

Nemechek showed his strength earlier in the day in qualifying for the 100 lap Pro Late Model feature that will precede Sunday’s Super Late Model race, as he toured the 3/8 asphalt speedway faster than anyone else.

Nemechek, who is the defending winner of the event, turned a lap at 15.900 seconds, beating out Pollard for the fastest lap. Korey Ruble was third fastest, followed by Flowery Branch, GA’s Dalton Grindle in fourth and Peachtree City, GA’s Riley Thornton in fifth.

Chris Dilbeck, Harrison Burton, Matt Wallace, Justin Ashburn and Derek Scott, Jr. rounded out the top 10.

However, CRA officials announced that the Pro Late Model feature will have a 10 car inversion for its start, putting Scott, Jr. and Ashburn on the front row.

Festivities for SpeedFest 2015 begin with an on-track autograph session for both divisions beginning at 12:30 pm, with the Pro Late Model feature set to roll off at 2 pm. The Super Late Model feature will begin shortly after the end of the Pro Late Model race.
