The restart would result in another caution as five cars were collected together in turn four. The race’s third caution came on the immediate restart as the drivers found it difficult to complete any laps. On lap seven, the yellow was thrown again for a spin by David Brocato, again in the troublesome turn four. On the next restart, the action switched to there first turn, where three cars went spinning.

The next caution was a result of the race’s worst wreck, which involved a total of 10 cars. It was triggered by a spin by Robert Stutts in front of the full field while running in the third position. The Brentwood, TN driver’s car had to be towed off the track with severe suspension damage. The yellow safety lights came back on during lap 12 when Brocato spun again, this time collecting Brandon Woodard with him.

Due to the high number of cautions, the race director determined the restart order would be switched to single file restarts.
