ROSEVILLE, CA – Christian PaHud is living the dream.

The 21-year-old from Daytona, Ohio, earned a NASCAR K&N Pro Series West start by virtue of winning the PEAK Stock Car Dream Challenge. Saturday night, he converted that opportunity into his first NASCAR victory in the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150 at All American Speedway.

PaHud, driving the No. 99 PEAK Toyota for Bill McAnally Racing, won the Coors Light Pole Award earlier in the day. In a race that featured six lead changes, he held off a late charge by Sunoco Rookie of the Year James Bickford to claim the victory.

PaHud led twice for a race-high 59 laps and took the lead for good from Brandon McReynolds on a lap 126 restart. Bickford got by McReynolds but could not chase down PaHud.

McReynolds settled ford third, followed by championship points leader Greg Pursley and David Mayhew.

Rookies Joey Licata, Gracin Raz and Nicole Behar were sixth through eighth. Dylan Lupton recovered from a mid-race spin to finish ninth and two-time Daytona 500 winner Michael Waltrip was 10th.

Pursley, the 2011 series champion, increased his points lead to 21 over Lupton and 25 over McReynolds with one race remaining.

PaHud is the third driver to win in the No. 99 for BMR. Last year’s PEAK contest winner, Patrick Staropoli, won at California’s Irwindale Raceway in March. And Chris Eggleston took home the win at Colorado National Speedway in July.

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series West will conclude the season in the Casino Arizona 100 at Phoenix International Raceway on Thursday, Nov. 6.
