Mauldin Scores Stock V8 Victory At Hartwell Speedway

HARTWELL, GA – After an absence from Victory Lane, Stock V8 pilot Ricky Mauldin made a return trip Saturday night with a win at Hartwell Speedway in Hartwell, GA.

Mauldin, piloting a car built for his son, Dustin, hwo is currently serving in the military overseas, started the race on the front row alongside Tyrone Anglin. On the start, Mauldin pulled into the lead, and would pull away for the victory.

Anglin would hold on to second place, with Cal Moon finishing in third, Rocky Jones in fourth and Chase York in fifth.

In other action, Larry Timms topped the field to score the Limited Late Model feature victory. Keith Freeman finished in second, with Brandon Haley in third, Kenny Collins in fourth and Bubba Russell in fifth.

Frankie Beard scored the win in the SECA Late Model feature, beating out Adam Smith for the victory. Royce Bray came home in third, with Nick Dietz fourth and Grant Jordan in fifth.

Robin Collins picked up the victory in the Hobby Stock feature, with Mike Davidson, Rod Roberts, Brent Russell and Brad Russell rounding out the top five.

In Modified Street action, Clifton Snow outdistanced Chris Cape for the win. Kole Hardy ran third, with Chuck Kellen fourth and Daniel Snow fifth.

Aaron Calvert, long known for his prowess as an asphalt ace, scored the win in the Stock Four Cylinder feature. Jimmy Little finished in second, with Shane Strickland in third, Matt Fleming in fourth and Brent Couch in fifth.

Jeremy Hicks scored the Young Guns feature win, with Payton Freeman in second, Jessica Still in third, Brandon Elliott in fourth and Mallerie Burdette in fifth.

Jackie Holden was the winner in the Up Front feature. Lucas Crowe came home in second, followed by Scott Isbell in third, Wayne Chapman in fourth and Joel Powell in fifth.
