RINGGOLD, GA – Dale McDowell picked up his third-career Old Man’s Garage Spring Nationals Series victory on Friday night at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, GA in dominating fashion.
McDowell, of Chickamauga, GA drove the Team Dillon Racing Impala SS to the $4,000 payday, his second this season. McDowell’s previous victory came on May 8 at Duck River Raceway Park.
Billy Ogle, Jr. finished in second, with Ivedent Lloyd, Jr. in third, Dawsonville, GA’s Donald McIntosh in fourth and Ringgold’s Jamie Perry in fifth.
McDowell was the fastest car in time trials with a 13.072 seconds, besting a series-record car count (Spring and Southern Nationals Series) of 53 entries representing eight states. Heat Race Winners were Skip Arp, Todd Morrow, Lloyd, Jr. and Michael Chilton. Perry won the Last Chance Race.
