ARCA Racing Series regular Kyle Benjamin used a late race caution to his advantage to claim the victory in the Southeast Super Truck Series feature Saturdya night at Lonesome Pine Raceway in Coeburn, VA.

The 75 laps of racing saw multiple caution periods and one red flag.

When an incident in turn four between leaders Tim Lollis and Kevin Leicht sent the No. 25 of Leicht around and forced Lollis to the pits, Benjamin would inherit the lead.

Benjamin would have to battle Lee Tissot on the restart, but the youngster would power back to the lead. The caution would wave one last time with four laps remaining for debris on the back straightaway.

Tissot would once again try to make the top line work, but Benjamin would use the inside lane to his advantage and claim the victory.

Tissot held on for second, with Dakota Slagle third, Ed Surrett in fourth and Austin Akers in fifth.

In other action, Brian Blevins qualified on pole for the 60 lap Late Model Stock feature. After the invert of three positions, Chad Finchum would start on the pole.

The yellow flag would wave only once on lap two for a spin in turn four.

Finchum would work the inside groove on the restart and retake the lead. Finchum would lead the all the remaining laps en route to the win.

Saturday’s win gave Finchum a total of three victories this season at LPR.

“The first two twin (races) was a dream. And then we came back and thought we had the car good to go, but we just missed something,” Finchum said. “We came up here yesterday and put about eight and a half hours in it (practicing) and it got us back into victory lane tonight.”

Kres VanDyke came home in second, with Michael Kidd in third, Ryan Stiltner in fourth and Blevins in fifth.

Rob Austin would jump to an early lead in the Street Stock race, but had to work hard to hold off Kirk Gobble. With two laps remaining, Gobble would make his move, diving back to the inside of the Austin. The two would race door-to-door coming to the checkered flag. Gobble would rocket off of turn four to gain slight momentum, and would score the win by only 0.010 of a second for the win.

Rob Austin finished in second, with Scott Franklin, Chris Tunnell and Jared Broadbent rounding out the top five.

Bruce Crumbley took the lead on the opening lap of the Pure-4 feature. Kirby Gobble would dive to the inside of Crumbley on lap six to take over the lead, with John Ketron following into second. Five laps later, Ketron powered around Gobble for the lead, and drove away for the win. Gobble came home in second, with Jason Ketron in third, Bruce Crumbley in fourth and Mitch Gibson in fifth.
