The Toccoa Speedway family enters the July 4 holiday with heavy hearts.

According to the Toccoa Speedway Facebook page, Hobby/602 driver Randall Jordan passed away earlier this week, just days after scoring a win Saturday night at the legendary race track.

Jordan beat out Brad Russell in the Hobby/602 feature, followed by Nick Sellers, Kenny Peeples and Robbie Campbell.

Track officials are working on a possible event in Jordan’s memory, according to the track’s Facebook page.  Funeral details were not available at press time.

In other action Saturday night, Colby Cannon won in the Crate Pro Late Models. Steve “Hot Rod” LaMance finished in second, with Mike Davidson in third, Kyre Mullaney in fourth, and Drew Benefield in fifth.

Billy Buffington scored the win in the Modified Street feature. Daryl Ivester finished in second, followed by Clifton Snow, Jason Llewellen, and Johnny White.

John Smartt was the winner in the KMSA Mini Stock feature. Scott Morgan, Donnie Shealy, Harley Holden, and Jeff Dobbs rounded out the top five.

Jackie Holden won the Front Wheel Drive feature, with Robbie Cook in second, Dustin Morgan, in third, Cody Smith in fourth, and Taylor Echols in fifth.
