Raceweek Illustrated Garage Talk Ep. 6 Available Online

Raceweek Illustrated will be expanding its scope to include a weekly television program, along with continued motorsports coverage on the internet.

The sixth installment of Raceweek Illustrated Garage Talk is now available online.

The latest episode of Raceweek Illustrated Garage Talk, which first aired May 12, 2012, features coverage of of the 32nd annual NHRA Southern Nationals, the NASCAR Aaron’s 499 at Talladega, the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame’s announcement of the “Fast 15” semi-finalists, and a sit down with long time Outlaw Late Model pilot David Murphy.

In the first segment, host Brandon Reed and co-host Doug Turnbull review action from the Atlanta Dragway, as we talk with Raceweek Illustrated reporter Pete McCole about the 32nd NHRA Summit Southern Nationals.  We also review the “Fast 15” semi-finalists list for the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame.  Plus, we look at all the NASCAR action from Talladega.

In the second segment, host Brandon Reed visits with Outlaw Late Model racer and Hometown Hero David Murphy, who talks to us about his 20 year career, his win in the 2008 Outlaw Late Model portion of the World Crown 300, the plight of local racers, and his interest in local racing history.

In the third segment, we review action from Anderson Motor Speedway in Anderson, SC, Greenville-Pickens Speedway in Greenville, SC, Toccoa Speedway in Toccoa, GA, Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA, Senoia Raceway in Senoia, GA, East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL, Friday Night Drags at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, GA, and several other tracks.
