Labor Day Weekend Racing Action Ready To Roll

It’s Labor Day weekend, and that means that race fans have some of the greatest racing of the year on tap over the next few days.

So, fire up the grill and get ready for some top notch racing action by taking a look at some of the events slated for this holiday weekend:

Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia hosts a visit on Friday, Sept. 2 from the USCS Sprints and the Georgia Mini-Sprints, along with action from the A and B Hobby and Front Wheel Drive classes.  For more info, visit www.boydsspeedway.net.

Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 3, with a full racing program, along with the Georgia Micro Sprint Cars.  For more info, visit www.dixiespeedway.com.

East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama holds their Labor Day Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 3, featuring the final points races in the Late Model, Limited Sportsman, Hobby, Bomber, Modified and Road Warrior divisions.  Also on tap is a fireworks display and a Front Wheel Drive Demolition Derby.  Visit www.eamsdirt.com for more information.

-The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returns to the Peach State for a Labor Day weekend classic, as Atlanta Motor Speedway plays host to the AdvoCare 500 on Sunday.  The Nationwide Series takes to the Georgia high banks on Saturday for the Great Clips 300.  On Friday, the Camping World Truck Series does battle on the legendary 1.5 AMS layout in the Good Sam Club 200.  The K&N Pro Series West is in action on Saturday, Sept. 3 at Spokane County Raceway in Airway Heights, WA.  The Whelen Modified Tour travels to Delaware Speedway in Delaware, Ontario for the Delaware 150.  The Whelen Southern Modified Series competes at Langley Speedway in Hampton, VA on Saturday, Sept. 3.  The K&N Pro Series East returns to action on Monday, Sept. 5 at Greenville-Pickens Speedway in the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 140.  For more information, visit www.nascar.com.
