With great racing on tap not only at the local tracks but at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, fans off all kinds of racing can get their fix this weekend.  Here’s a look at some of the action coming your way over the next few days:

-Anderson Motor Speedway in Anderson, SC returns to action this Friday night, July 29, with their regular racing program.  For more info, visit  www.andersonmotorspeedway.com.

-Atlanta Motor Speedway’s Friday Night Drags continues tonight, July 29. For more information, visit www.atlantamotorspeedway.com.

-Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia returns to action on Friday, July 29 with a full slate of racing.  Visit www.boydsspeedway.net for more information.

-Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia is back in action Saturday night, July 30, with a full slate of racing action.  Visit www.dixiespeedway.com for more information.

-East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama hosts Boomer 95.3 Night on Saturday, July 30, featuring racing in the Late Model, Limited Sportsman, Hobby, Bomber, Modified and Road Warrior divisions.  For more info, visit www.eamsdirt.com.

-Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson, Georgia will hold the second Wednesday race next week, Aug. 3, with the Rheem Pro Late 40, featuring racing in the Pro Late Models, Trucks, Mini-Stocks and Renegades.  For more information, visit www.greshammotorsportspark.com.

-Hartwell Speedway in Hartwell, Georgia returns to action this Saturday, July 30, with racing in the Limited Late Model, FASTRAK Late Model, Modified Street, Stock V8, Stock Four, Young Guns and Up Front divisions.  For more info, visit www.hartwell-speedway.com.

-It’s one of the most special races of the year at Talladega Short Track in Talladega, Alabama this Saturday night, July 30, with the annual Michael Head Jr. Memorial race, featuring a 54 lap feature event paying $5,400 to win in Super Late Models.  For more information, visit www.talladegashorttrack.com.

-The Legendary Toccoa Speedway in Toccoa, Georgia returns to action Saturday Night July,30, featuring a “Spectator’s Banana Race” sponsored by Aubry & Josh Thurmond’s Auto Repair & Custom Exhaust, paying $100 to the winner.  Spectators must use their own personal Car to compete.  Also on tap is action in five divisions of racing including Late Model Sportsman, Hobby, Modified Street, Street Stock 4Cyl and Front Wheel Drive.

-The Georgia Fair Tax/David Ragan Ford Outlaw Late Model series returns to Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Georgia on Saturday, July 30, along with local divisions, the INEX Bandoleros and Legends and the NVRA Vintage Thunder series.  For more information, visit www.watermeloncapitalspeedway.com.

-Round 4 of the Michelin/WERA National Challenge Series, the Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series and the WERA National Endurance Series will move into Summit Point Raceway in West Virginia this weekend, July 29, 30 and 31.  For more info, visit www.wera.com.

-After a week off, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returns in style, as the Cup drivers head to the most famous race track in the world, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Brickyard 400 on Sunday.  Meanwhile, the Nationwide Series will be up the street at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis on Saturday for the Kroger 200.  The Camping World Truck Series will be at Lucas Oil Raceway Friday night for the AAA Insurance 200.  The Whelen Modified Tour returns to action at Riverhead Raceway in Riverhead, New York on Saturday for the Lighthouse Mission 200.  For more info, visit www.nascar.com.
