Big Weekend Of Racing On Tap

It’s another big weekend of racing across the nation and close to home.  Here’s a look at a few of the big events coming up on a race track near you:

Anderson Motor Speedway in Anderson, SC, returns to action tonight, Friday night, June 24, with a 30 lap B Mini-Stock Summer championship event paying $500 to win.  Drivers will qualify for starting positions and race fans can meet the drivers in an on-track meet and greet.  Also on tap is racing in seven divisions including C Mini Stocks, Front Wheel Drives, Legends, BM Modified, Renegade, Super Renegades and the Georgia Mini Cups.

5 Flags Speedway in Pensacola, FL will host the Buddy’s Home Furnishings #3 Super Late model event tonight (Friday), including action from the modified, sportsman and bomber divisions.  For more info, check their website.

New Senoia Racway in Senoia, GA, will hold its Summer Sizzler Saturday, June 25 with a special 30-lap Feature for the Summit Racing Equipment Hobby Stocks paying $350 to win.  Plus a full nigh of racing in all divisions, including Mike Wheeler’s Automotive & Transmission Late Models, Crown Security Crate Late Models, Newnan Bonding B Cadets, Summit Racing Equipment Hobby Stocks, Mini Stocks and Bombers.

Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, GA, plays host on Saturday to the second Georgia for Fair Tax/David Ragan Ford Outlaw Late Model Series, plus racing in Bandolero, Legends, Mini Stock, Pure Stock,
Claimer and Enduro.

Lanier National Speedway in Braselton, GA, plays host Saturday to drifting, dragging, driving and a full slate of Legends racing.  For more, check their website.

Hartwell Speedway near Hartwell, GA, returns to action on June 25 with a $2,000 to win FASTRAK Racing Series event plus local divisions.  Visit their website for more info.

Toccoa Speedway is slated to return to action on June 25, with six divisions of racing including super late models, late model sportsman, hobby, modified street, street stock 4 cylinder and front wheel drives.

Mobile International Speedway in Irvington, AL will play hold the Miller Lite 100 Super Late Models, along with the Praytor Realty Super Stocks, Bob’s Speed Shop Sportsman and the Island Motor II Bombers.  Check their website for more.

Talladega Short Track in Talladega, AL will host the rescheduled “War Between The States” Super Late model event on Saturday, with $2,500 going to the winner. Also on the card are the Sportsman, Crates, Thundercars, Hot Shots and Street divisions.  For more info, check their website.

East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL will hold Kissin’ 99.3 night, featuring racing in the Late Model, Limited Sportsman, Hobby, Bomber and Road Warrior divisions.  Have a look at their website for more info.

-The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series hits the road course this week at Sonoma, as they tackle the twists and turns of the Infineon Raceway.  It’s right and left hand turns for the NASCAR Nationwide Series as well, as they travel to Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI on Saturday.  Check NASCAR.com for all the latest information.
