It took an extra week, but John Ownbey scored the $3,000 Super Late Model victory in Saturday’s rain delayed Cabin Fever race at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia.
Ownbey, from Cleveland, Tennessee, led flag-to-flag en route to the win, holding off Cory Hedgecock for the win.
Winston, Georgia’s Michael Page finished in third, with Riley Hickman in fourth and Jimmy Elliott in fifth.
David Seibers, Ronnie Johnson, Tod Hernandez, Corey Roulette, and Jason Lively rounded out the top ten.
In other action, Chattanooga, Tennessee speedster Ronnie Johnson edged out Ownbey to take the Crate Late Model feature win and the $1,500 winner’s paycheck. Sam Seawright came home in third, with Ethan Hunter in fourth and Rick Hixson in fifth.
Scott Hogan took the victory in the Sportsman feature. Kasey Hall finished in second, with Matt Steward in third, Zach Sise in fourth and Brandon Stanfield in fifth.
Booger Brooks was the winner in the Street Stocks feature. Bryan Fortner, Clint Carter, Jim Gilbert, and Matthew Gainer rounded out the top five.
John Pitts scored the win in the Mod Lites feature, with Cody Sisson in second, Freddie Prosser, Jr. in third, Ronnie Choate in fourth, and Brian Nance in fifth.
Joe Cross took the victory in the Hot Shots feature. Michael Arp followed in second, with Jacob Shap in third, Nathan Adams in fourth and Todd Duncan in fifth.
