Brandon Setzer took the lead with a handful of laps left to go in Saturday’s Greenville-Pickens Meltdown 150 lap Super Late Model feature and drove to the victory at South Carolina’s Greenville-Pickens Speedway.

While Setzer celebrated in victory lane, the historic half-mile speed plant was still buzzing over a lap 129 incident among the leaders that opened the door for Setzer to score the $10,000 win.

The moment came seconds after leader Bubba Pollard took the green flag on a restart. As the leaders drove down into the first turn, Pollard was tagged from behind by two-time and defending PASS South Series champion Matt Craig.

That contact sent Pollard’s car around and hard into the outside wall, gathering up three more cars in the process.

Pollard, who hails from Senoia, Georgia, climbed from his No. 26 Ford uninjured, but hot under the collar, as he showed his displeasure to Craig as he passed the scene under caution.

Race officials parked Craig for the rest of the race.

When the track was cleared, Jeff Fultz found himself with the lead. As the raced resumed, Setzer used an outside pass to take the lead, and went on to score the victory.

Jasper, Georgia’s Chandler Smith, fresh off a win the week before at SpeedFest 2018 at Georgia’s Watermelon Capital Speedway, finished in second, with Fultz in third, Kyle Plott in fourth and Dustin Smith in fifth.

In other action, Carson Kvapil scored the win in the Limited Late Model feature. Brody Pope finished in second, followed by Gage Painter in third, Tony Black in fourth and Austin Somero in fifth.

Tommy Davis, Jr. took the victory in the Four Cylinder feature, with B.J. Davis in second, Bobby Wortham third, Derek Fowler fourth and Danny Mathis fifth.
