With the white flag in the air Saturday night at Georgia’s Hartwell Speedway, it appeared that the best Shannon Duck would be able to do in the Stock V8 feature was a hard earned third place.

But when the dust settled, it was Duck going to victory lane with his second straight feature victory at the 3/8 mile clay oval.

It all unfolded as leaders Cal Moon and Jack Hill crossed under the flag stand to begin the final lap of the 15-lap feature. Hill tried a power move underneath Moon to challenge for the lead. But the two drivers tangled, sending both spinning into turn one.

Duck was able to avoid the melee, moving him to the lead for a one-lap shootout for the win.

With Evan Brown nipping at his heels, Duck took the green and white flags together, and was able to keep Brown at bay for the final lap to score the victory.

Ben Carswell finished in third, with Robert Crowe in fourth and Moon recovering to finish in fifth.

In other action, Dale Timms held off hard charges from Larry Timms to score the Crate Late Model victory. Cody Pritchett finished in fourth, followed by Frankie Beard in fifth.

Joe Yarbrough took the win in the Hobby feature, followed by Thomas Riggins in second, Stephen Segars in third, Brandon Stroud in fourth and Shane Yarbrough in fifth.

In the Stock Four feature, Parris Simmons was flagged the winner, followed across the finish line by Shane Peppers and Justin Taylor. But all three were disqualified in post race tech, moving Ryan Boles to victory lane. Dustin Bales, Elliott Brayboy, Mike Little and Allen Cantrell rounded out the top five.

Thomas Segars held off a hard charging Michael McTier to score the Modified Street feature victory, with Sterling Helm in third, Jennifer Everett in fourth and Kyle Gordon in fifth.

Randy Shaw edged out Justin Sorrow and B.J. Gillespie to take home the win in the Up Front feature. Hunter Anthony finished in fourth, with Kalen Holmes in fifth.
