Johnson Sets LLM Track Record, Wins At Winder-Barrow

Jimmy Johnson was the man to beat Saturday night at Georgia’s Winder-Barrow Speedway.

After setting a new track record in Limited Late Model qualifying with a lap at 14.17 seconds, Johnson jumped out to the early lead and went on to record the victory at the 3/8 mile clay raceway.

Gus Simpson came home with second place honors, followed by Chad Puckett in third, Ken Lampp in fourth and Chris Woods in fifth.

In other action, Chad Stinchcomb was the winner in the Hobby feature. Chris Jones finished in second, with Jerome Hanson third, Chad Atha fourth and Dustin Cason fifth.

Ronnie Poole held off Aaron Criswell to take the Modified Street victory. Jennifer Everett finished third, with Preston Strickland fourth and Jimmy Lee Langley fifth.

Mark Chancey scored the Stock V8 feature victory. Ronnie Poole, Zach Brown, Tim Corbin and Trey Pilgrim rounded out the top five.

Justin Taylor took home the win in the Stock 4A feature, with P.J. Taylor in second, Robert Kennedy in third, Shane Peppers in fourth and Allen Cantrell in fifth.

Cody Peppers was the winner in the Stock 4B feature. Elliott Brayboy came home in second, with Randall Jenkins third, Nick Fulcher fourth and Josh Clark fifth.
