Chris Woods led every lap en route to the Limited Late Model victory at Georgia’s Winder-Barrow Speedway in Winder, Georgia.

Woods took the lead from the pole, and held the field at bay en route to the win at the 3/8-mile clay raceway.

That’s not to say the race wasn’t without its problems. On the initial start, Woods and outside pole sitter Tyler Canup made contact beginning at the flag stand, and before the field reached turn one, Canup spun in front of the pack of cars. Several other cars were gathered up in the melee, including Ken Lampp, Ronnie Poole, and Shawn Tullis.

On the second start attempt, Woods jumped out to the lead, with John Anderson in pursuit.

More trouble broke out on lap two, as Lampp tangled with Shaun Thomas, gathering up the cars of Justin Gravley and Tullis as the second caution of the night flew.

On the restart, Woods came under fire from Anderson, but held off the challenge. From there, Woods went on to score the victory.

Anderson finished in second, with Canup in third, Tullis in fourth and Thomas in fifth.

In other action, Jordan Poole came home with the win in the Modified Street feature. Kevin Shaw finished second, with Kevin Shaw in third.

Ronnie Poole scored the victory in the Stock V8 feature, with Stephan House in second, Trey Pilgrim in third, Zach Brown in fourth and Jeff Casper in fifth.

Rod Roberts topped the Hobby Stock field to get the feature win. Chad Stinchcomb, Jerome Hanson, Andy Barton and Shawn Tullis rounded out the top five.

Shane Peppers was the first under the checkered flag to take the Stock 4A feature win, with Justin Taylor in second, P.J. Taylor in third, Kyle Braswell in fourth and Dustin Ogletree in fifth.

James Robinson was the winner in the Stock 4B feature. Randall Jenkins was second, with Josh Clark third, Cody Peppers fourth and Grant Roberts fifth.

Winder-Barrow Speedway returns to action on Saturday, July 22 for the Roger Cooper Memorial Race, with $1,200 to win for Stock V-8 feature.
