Simpson Tops Limited Late Model Field For Toccoa Victory

Gus Simpson came home with the Limited Late Model victory Saturday night at Georgia’s Toccoa Speedway.

Simpson, from Gainesville, Georgia, charged from the outside of the front row, and went on to beat out polesitter David McCoy to take the win at the historic 5/16 mile clay speedway.

Wesley English finished in third, with David Conley in fourth and Nick Sellers in fifth.

In other action, Colby Cannon was the winner in the FASTRAK Pro Late Model feature. Ricky Smith finished in second, with Frankie Beard in third, Derrick Harvey in fourth and Drew Benfield in fifth.

Nick Sellers topped the 602 Sportsman/Hobby field to take the feature win, with Mark Wilbanks in second, Justin Sims in third, Joey McCoy in fourth and Jason Black in fifth.

Billy Buffington took the victory in the Modified Street feature. Robbie Campbell was second, with Sterling Helm third, Josh Thurmond fourth and Jason Lewallen fifth.

Coon Ayers was the winner in the Toccoa Pro Truck feature, with Terry Calhoun finishing second, Jimmy Motes third, Ralph Anderson fourth and Cameron Collett fifth.

Ricky Jones scored the win in the Stock V8 feature. Hayden Collett, James Campbell and Ray Foskey rounded out the top four.

Jackie Holden doubled up on Saturday night, as he scored wins in the Stock 4 and the Front Wheel Drive features. In the Stock 4 feature, he beat out Harley Holden, with Bobby Rhinehart in third, Mitchell Marcus in fourth and Ryan Crawford in fifth.

In the Front Wheel Drive feature, Holden took the win over Joe Caples in second, Calob Nicholson in third, Nickoli Holcomb in fourth and Ty Norman in fifth.
