Ryan Millington and Charlie Watson both earned trips to Hickory Motor Speedway’s victory lane on Saturday night, as the two drivers split the twin Late Model features at the historic Newton, North Carolina raceway.

Millington and Watson started on the front row for the first feature, with Millinton grabbing the early lead. Watson would stay glued to the leader’s back bumper, looking time and again for a chance to snare the top spot.
That chance never came, and Millington sped to his second win of the young season. Watson would settle for second, with Mason Diaz in third, Tal Davidson in fourth and Ty Gibbs in fifth,

In the second Late Model feature, the top eight from the finish of the first race would invert to start the second, putting Brandon Cox and Brooke Schimmel on the front row. Cox would grab the early lead, while Watson and Millington charged from the back of the field. Trouble struck for Cox, as contact sent him spinning from the lead, with Gibbs becoming involved as well.
Back under green, Watson jumped to the lead, with Millington in tow. Watson went on to take the victory, while Mike Darne passed Millington to take second. Tal Davidson finished in fourth, with Omar Jurado in fifth.

In other action, Monty Cox jumped out to the early lead, and would go on to grab his first win of the 2017 season. Pat Rachels finished in second, with Jeremy Pelfrey in third, Alex Reece in fourth and Matt Elledge in fifth.

Chris Pardue took the victory in the 4 Cylinder feature, with Robert Trivette, Brian Mundy, Cody Combs and Rob Lewis rounding out the top five.

In the Classic Sportsmen Racing Association feature, Bill Lett bypassed Eddie Gilbert with just a few laps remaining, and went on to score the victory. Gilbert held on to finish in second, with Bill Powell in third, Bill Webb in fourth and Donn Fenn in fifth.

Cody DaMarmels and Kevin Eby put on a spirited battle in the Street Stocks feature, with DaMarmels coming away with the win. Marshall Sutton finished in third, and Trey Buff in fourth.

Racing resumes next week at Hickory Motor Speedway with a 100 lap feature for the Late Models, along with action from the Limited Late Models, Super Trucks, Street Stocks and Renegades.
