Bubba Russell Takes Limited Late Model Win At Hartwell

Over the years, Bubba Russell has won his share of Late Model features at Hartwell Speedway. But going into Saturday night, the Comer, Georgia driver had not made a trip to victory lane at the Hartwell, Georgia raceway in 2016.

At the end of the night, he changed all that with a victory in the Limited Late Model feature.

Russell, who hails from nearby Comer, Georgia, held off Ashley Poole to record the win, with Stephen Segars in third, Drew Collins in fourth and Scotty Chatham in fifth.

In other action, Dale Timms edged out Drew Cole for the SECA Crate Late Model feature victory. Danny Sanders finished third, with Cody Pritchett in fourth and Colby Cannon in fifth.

Joe Yarbrough was the winner in the Hobby Stock feature, followed by Shane Yarbrough in second, Ervin Atkinson in third, Darrell Matthison in fourth and Evan Brown in fifth.

Kole Hardy took the victory in the Modified Street feature. Jennifer Everett finished in second, followed by Preston Strickland in third, John Teasley in fourth and Thomas Segars in fifth.

Jeremy Jones went to victory lane as the winner of the Stock V8 feature. Rocky Jones, Terry Brown, Rusty Jordan and John Teasley rounded out the top five.

Jeffery Lord scored the victory in the Stock Four feature, followed by Jimmy Little in second, Shane Strickland in third, Dustin Bales in fourth and Jeremy Hicks in fifth.

Wayne Chapman was the winner in the Up Front feature, with Justin Sorrow in second, Johnathan Starrett third, Kalen Holmes fourth and Joel Powell, Sr. in fifth.
