Porter Tops Late Model Stocks At Greenville-Pickens

Randy Porter raced his way to his first victory of the season in Saturday night’s Late Model Stock feature at Greenville-Pickens Speedway in Easley, South Carolina.

Kyle Benjamin led the first 11 laps before Porter stormed from his fifth starting spot and took command. Once in the lead, Porter opened up nearly a two-second gap on the field.

Porter would drive away to take the victory, with Dylan Hall in second, Benjamin in third, Trey Gibson in fourth and Ryan Walker in fifth.

In other action, Colby Howard dominated the 100-lap Southeast Limited Late Model Pro division feature from the pole, and going on to score the victory. Luke Sorrow finished in second, with Anthony Alfredo in third, Taylor Sorrow in fourth and Blair Addis in fifth.

Bob Root led wire-to-wire to take the win in the Daytona1Challenger feature. Anthony Miller finished in second, with Thad Moffitt in third, R.J. West in fourth and Lexy Gay in fifth.

Josh Sams beat out Tim Sams for the Super Stock feature victory. Ted Somero came home in third, with Dale Stancil in fourth and Travis Cox in fifth.

Bobby Emory took the win in the Renegade feature victory, beating out Spenser Darnell for the win, with Robin Darnell, Alexx Breazele and Lance George rounding out the top five.

Chad Redding was flagged as the winner of the Four Cylinder feature, but that went away when his car failed to pass post-race inspection due to not meeting weight specifications, and Ray Mullinax didn’t pass due to a tire issue.

That handed the victory to Tommy Davis, Jr. with Michael Webster moved to second, followed by Travis Shelton in third, Dannon Esco in fourth and Don Tavernia in fifth.

Chris Meinders took the win in the Pure Stock feature, followed by Spencer Morgan in second, Buck Simmons in third, Charlie Meinders in fourth and Zack Meinders in fifth.
