Veteran Late Model racer Blair Addis overtook 14-year-old Colby Howard with six laps remaining to pick up the victory in the Saturday night’s Limited Late Model feature at Greenville-Pickens Speedway in Easley, SC.

Addis and Howard dueled door-to-door for several laps as the race drew near its conclusion. With six laps remaining, Addis was able to power past Howard for good in turns three and four en route to the victory.

Howard set fast time in qualifying, with Addis second fastest. When the green flag flew, Howard and Addis pulled away at the front of the field. However, a caution on lap 22 for fluid from the car of Marion Thomas brought the field back together.

On the restart, it was again Howard and Addis pacing the field. As the race passed the halfway point, Addis began to pressure Howard for the top spot. The two eventually wound up racing side-by-side, swapping the lead several times before Addis was finally able to pull away with six laps to go.

Addis, the 2005 track champion at Greenville-Pickens Speedway, parked in the winners circle for the second week in a row at the historic half mile, as he also won the Southeast Limited Late Model touring event at the track last weekend.

Taylor Nesbitt-Sorrow finished in third, with R.J. West in fourth and Luke Sorrow in fifth.

Anthony Miller, Ron Hall, Don Morgan, Thomas Marion and Nick Thunder rounded out the top ten.

In other action, Josh Sams led wire-to-wire, holding off Ted Somero and Tim Sams to claim the Super Stock victory in a caution free feature.

Bobby Emory scored the Renegade feature victory, with Shane Hill finishing in second, Terry Thurston in third, Eddie Ray in fourth and Joe Allen in fifth.

Dannon Esco picked up his third 4 Cylinder feature victory of the season, with Chad Redding, Tommy Davis, Hunter Evans and Manuel Molleda rounding out the top five.

Ashley Granata was the winner in the Pure Stock feature, her second win of the season. Zach Meinders finished in second, with A.J Davis in third, Travis Barbare in fourth and Hank Hutto in fifth.

Greenville-Pickens Speedway returns to action on Saturday night, with a pair of 75 lap features for the Late Model Stock Cars, along with racing from the Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, Renegades and 4 Cylinders.
